When reporting the loss, you should have:

  • Original NRIC (National Registration Identity Card) for adults and for those below 15, Birth certificate.
  • If the passport has been stolen, then a police report, or a statutory declaration at ICA.

If you are overseas and have lost your Singapore passport, then complain to the police station and hand over the police report to the nearest Singapore Overseas Mission there within 14 days.

You also need to submit:

  • Identity proof for your Singapore citizenship such as Singapore Citizenship Certificate or any other identity card.
  • Two recent passport-sized photos.
  • If somebody has stolen your passport, then a police report or a statutory declaration at the Overseas Mission.

After returning to Singapore, apply for a replacement passport by submitting an application form and also a supplementary form, if needed, to the ICA. You will also require to submit the same documents which you gave when you reported the loss to the overseas mission.

 

Is There Any Penalty for the Loss of Singapore Passport?

Yes, there is a penalty fee of $50 for the first replacement passport and $100 for every subsequent replacement. The penalty is in addition to the $70 you have to pay for a new passport application.
